About
Miguel Cruz de Carvalho (Évora, 1988).
Lives and works between Évora and Lisbon.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Évora, and a Postgraduate degree in Contemporary Photography from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (FBAUL).
His work is developed primarily through photography. In his practice, he subverts the idea of photography as a transparent window, approaching the photographic apparatus as a bridge between the real and the imaginary, allowing him to operate on the border between light and the void.
His work was first presented publicly in 2018.
